Fire at Foxton
BILLIARD ROOM GUL TED. Shortly after midnight, Saturday, it fire was discovered in u two-storey wooden building situated at the corner of Park street and Avonue road, Foxton. Tho upstairs portion was occupied by the Kiwi Club and the ground floor by Air. Earl Bryant as a billiard room. A strong w'ind fanned tho flames, giving tho fire brigado an arduous fight. The club rooms were burnt out while tho billiard room was extensively gutted. Two houses nearby were saved by fire prevention work by tho brigade. It is not knowu whether there were any insurances.
