Although the local Pan-American Air ways' office disclaimed knowledge of reports from San Diego, Honolulu persisted that the China clipper captain, Captain Edwin Musick, is planning a flight to survey a route to New Zealand. Captain Musick is known to be at Alameda with his plane. It is believed the reports are well-founded because the Niagara took four Pan-American Airways men with supplies, southward from. Honolulu. Preparations may be delayed due to the supply ship North Wind being strike-bound at Honolulu where it called to replenish fuel and water after visiting stations*
