Permits issued by the Palmerston North City Council for the month of January have an aggregate value of £14,190 as against £18,006 for the corresponding month last year. New dwellings account for £7264, new business premises and alterations and additions to the Hospital for £6336, and garages and alterations to dwellings and other buildings for £6OO.
