Intoxicated Driver

TIKOKINO CARRIER GAOLED. (Special to 44 Times"). HASTINGS, Last Night. On a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor vehicle, William Oliver, carrier, Tikokino, was convicted and sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment and his driver's license endorsed, by Mr J. Miller, S.M., in the Waipawa Magistrate's Court yesterday. Defendant, who entered a plea of guilty, was represented by Mr C. G. E. Harker. Constable Moss represented the police, and stated that defendant had been previously warned twice. On a further charge of carting stock at night without holding the necessary permit Oliver was convicted and discharged.
