Bacon Workers Want Justice Page Removed

DISSATISFACTION OVER AWARD. Dissatisfaction with the decision of the Arbitration Court regarding the bacon workers* award was expressed at the annual meeting of the Onslow Bacon Workers* Union, which passed a motion requesting the Government tc remove the present judge of the court, Mr. Justice l*age, from office. The motion was as follows: “That in view of the unsatisfactory decision of the Court of Arbitration in the award for bacon workers, the Onslow branch has no confidence in the court as at pre sent constituted. It requests the Goveminent to remove the present judge and appoint in his place someoao who can be relied upon to safeguard the workers* interests by giving reasonable effect to the spirit of the industrial legislation, passed by the present Government. Further, that there bo an immediate rehearing of the bacon workers* claims.**
