Owing to the resignation of Mr. W. G. Bishop from the Levin Borough Council a vacancy occurred and nominations, which close on Monday next. « are being called for the election of a councillor. So far, the only nomination received is that of Mr. C. L. Hunter, M.P., who has been nominated for the position by Messrs Howard Harvey an! A. E. Woolley.
