Infantile Paralysis
NO FURTHER AUCKLAND UASEd. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. No further cases of infantile paralysis came under the notice of the Auckland office of the Department of Health today. A boy of 12 who was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday under suspicion of having contracted infection is regarded as probably being a positive case. He is not, however, seriously affected. FOURTH POSITIVE CASE AT INVERCARGILL. IN VERCARGILL, Last Night. The fourth ease of infantile paralysis in Southland since the outbreak of the present epidemic was admitted to the Public Hospital in Invercargill to-day. The patient, a boy Is£ years of ago from Waihoaka, is suffering mildly from the disease. A boy from Lumsden who was admitted three weeks ago still has some paralysis, but he is pro grossing very satisfactorily. CASE AT ROXBURGH DUNEDIN, Last Night. No eases of infantile paralysis were notified in Dunedin to-day but the district health officer was informed of ft case at Roxburgh. A young man age<J about 20 years whose home is at Bal
clutha developed symptoms while visiting Roxburgh and was immediately transported to his own district where he was admitted to the South Otago Hospital. It is stated that ho has slight paralysis.
A boy aged 19 months from a home at. Kuri Bush was admitted to the hospital this evening for observation.
