From Our Own Correspondent* A very enjoyable euchre party and dance Was held in the Tiritea School on January 22. Mr H. D. Greer was in charge of tho euchre, in which. Mrs Perry won the Jadies' prize, Mr K. i Foote (Palmerston North) being successful in the men’s section. Mr E. , Perry made a very capable M.C., and iMr M. Creighton, Palmerston North, , presided at the piano. A dainty supper was served by an energetic ladies' committee. Tables for euchre were arranged for non-dancers, and was much appreciated. Mr and Mrs F. Hockings spent the week-end as guests of Mr and Mrs F. Brogden. Mrs Tonks is a Wellington visitor to the district being the guest of Mr and Mrs W. Brogden, “Pine Grove." [ Mr and Mrs Ray Kilsby and family are at present holidaying at Tangi- ‘ mona. Mrs Shore and family have taken a cottage at Waikanae. Mr E. Greer who speut a short holiday with his sister at Paekakariki, has returned home. Mrs Williams and Miss K. Williams, Victoria Avenue, were the guests of Mr and Mrs Kilgarriff during the weekend. Mr and Mrs F. Brogden's infant son, met with a very painful accident recently, unfortunately spilling a cup of boiling water over his neck and chest.
