Fat Sheep Retain Values at Addington
STORES AND CATTLE EASIER. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. I’at lambs and iat sheep retained recent values at to-day’s Addington market, but store sheep and iat cattle were easier. Store sheep: The entry was practically all lambs which numbered about b'JUU head, ihe market eased by Is (id a head. The top ewe lamb price was gSs, and wether HE A big pen of fouryear ewes with a few younger included sold at 29s to 30s. Pat lambs; 1600 were penned. A Lrisa sale at full export rates. Best lambs to 335, good prime 295, 31s, prime medium weight, 26a fid, 28s Od, others down to 245. Pat sheep: A heavy entry and a good sale. Exporters were operating freely, particularly for ewes. Extra prime made to 345, prime 2Ss, 31s, prime medium down to 20s, and others down to 22s lid; best ewes sold at 235, 27s 9d, good 21s, 235, and others down to lbs. Pat cattle: 495 were penned and there was a decline in values of 20s per head for steers and slightly less for good cows and heifers. Best steers £l3 to £ls 17s Od; good, £ll, £l2 15s, and others down to £9 10s; best heifers made from £S, £ll 7s Od, and best cows from £7 15s, £lO 7s 6d. Pat pigs: Porkers were slightly easier and bacouers unchanged. Porkers sold at 33s Od, 43s Od, average price per lb. Od, Oid, baconers -49 s Od, £3 16s Od, average price per lb., ssd, od.
