34 Chinese Arrested

GAMBLING RAID BY DETECTIVES. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. Detectives to-night raided premises in Grey’s avenue and arrested 34 Chinese charging them with breaches of the Gaming Act. They -were brought before a special sitting of Court at the Central Police Station, where a Justice remanded them until morning, when they will appear before a Magistrate.

Detectives forced their way into the basement, where they found a crowd of Chinese playing f ant an. This is tho second raid on the same place within a month. On the first occasion the police caught 18 Chinese playing pakapoo.
