Fine and Cool Per Frees Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An anti-cyclone of moderate intensity e moving on to the Dominion. A ii pression covers the western Tasman. A tropical cyclone in the New Hebrides region is moving south-eastwards. Winds: fcroutherly to south-easterly light to moderate generally but freshening in the northern and north-eastern j.o. lions of the North Island and beco ing variable about and south of Cook bcrait; later tending northerly. beas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough between Cape Campbell and East Cape; elsewhere slight to moderate; rising north of East Cape. Eastern Tasman bea: Light to moderate southerly to south-easterlies, becom ing variable later and tending northerly; seas slight to moderate. Weather: Fair to fine in most districts; cool but rising temperatures; rain developing in the north-eastern and £ar northern portions of the Island, also 'an the far south.
