Magistrate’s Court

PALMERSTON NORTH SITTING Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., presided at the Magistrate’s Court in Palmerston North yesterday. Raymond Basil Jordan admitted speeding over the Main-Cook street intersection and was fined £3 with £1 19s costs. The charge was the result of a collision with another car. Robert Campbell, William Thacker, Robert Harper and Robert John Culling, found on licensed premises after hours, were each fined £2 with 10s costs in the case of the first two and 12s costs in the case of the second pair. Trevor Mervyn Shaw, hotel worker, was ordered to pay £5 17s arrears of maintenance in default one month’s gaol. The . warrant will be suspended if defendant pays 5s a week off the arrears and keeps current maintenance paid.
