Attempt to Refloat Huanui

COAL WILL BE UNLOADED TO-DAY. Advice from Foxton last night was to the effect that it was unlikely the Huanui would be re floated before this morning, although an anchor had been got out and an attempt was to be made to get her off on the high tide. , These efforts failing, plans were made ! to unload the coal this morning (her cargo was for the Palmerston North gasworks). It is anticipated that with the boat lightened the task of getting her off will be greatly facilitated. Though severely exposed, the Huanui appears to have suffered little damage beyond strain. (An earlier message appears on page 10).
