Feilding Foresters’ Lodge

WEEKLY SOCIAL The weekly card party and dance conducted by the Feilding Foresters’ Lodge on Saturday evening again attracted a good attendance. Messrs F. Allerby and Moana were first and second respectively in the men’s section of the euchre, while in the ladies’ section Mesdames Cochrane, Tollan, Wickham and Miss Foote were successful. A dainty supper was served by the committee, after which a short dance was held, Mr W. Towler being M.C. Feeney’s orchestra provided a programme of modern and old-time numbers. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs Batten and Mr Tollan, and in a special novelty competition Mr A. E. Evans was successful. At midnight the successful weekly function concluded with “Auld Lang Syne’*’ and the National Anthem.
