Tree l|lH n bAL., this morning of the charge.! arising from the bank snooting case on December 27 which resuiteu in the ueatn of Michael h ietcher. Mr. H. Macalister, for the Crown, asked lor a remand until a suitable date. Mr. Eustaoe Russell asked that the case pti adjourned until Friday week as a medical witness was absent on fiolidav. He had only one holiday a year and it would scarcely be fair to bring mm back. The Magistrate said that he himsen had had only one holiday in 20 months and he had returned from the North island especially for the case in view of the SOS in the newsxmpers. It was only a hop, step and a jump frorn and the doctor couid easily Aome down for a day. He refused coul sel's request for a lengtny adjournment and set the hearing down for Thursday.
