In the matter of “The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1920/ ’ and “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933/ ; and its amendments, and all other Acts ana Powers, if any, enabling the Council in that behalf. T'HE. PALMERSTON North City Council hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to raise a Special Loan of Ninety Thousand Pounds (£90,000) at a rate of interest not exceeding £3 10/- per centum per annum, for the purpose of enabling the said Council to construct a new Waterworks Bam at Tiritea, to lay a 21iu. diameter water main from Linton Road to the Headworks, and to form a roadway for access purposes, and to effect: I improvements to the reticulation, and for the purpose of providing for the | repayment of the said Special Loan and i for the payment of Interest and other | charges on or in connection with the said Loan, and a Sinking Fund of £2 per cetum per annum to appropriate and pledge as security a Special Rato of two-thirds of a penny in the pound sterling oil the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Palmerston North, comprising the whole of the City, on the basis of the unimproved value, such rate to be an annuallv recurring rate during the currency of sucili special Loan and to be made and levied by resolution of the said Council to be passed after the said Special Loan has been agreed to by the ratepayers. The whole of the said Loan is to be repaid at the expiration of Twenty (20) years from the date of raising the same. It is not proposed to pay out of the Special Loan the cost of raising the loan or the interest and sinking fund for the first year. Dated at Palmerston North this 15th day of January, 1937. J. R.
