LITTLE BROWNIE CAKES. Mix l-3rd cup butter and l-3rd cup sugar; add l-3rd cup golden syrup and well-beaten eg g. Sift and add li cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, i teaspoon carbonate of soda and i cup chopped nuts. Flavour delicately and appetisingly with Stevens* li Cathedral Brand** Essence of Vanilla, Lemon or Coconnut. Bake 20 minutes in patty pans.
