Sandy had been wooing Jenny for some months, and, excepting that he was a bit •‘near" with his money, she had found him quite satisfactory. One day she called on him, and seizing the opportunity he asked, “Are you fond of moving pictures, Jenny "Aye!” she said, hopefully. “Then, lass, maybe ye’ll help me tae get bauf a dozen doou oot o’ the attic.” <s> <s> A pilot took up a passenger in k:s aeroplane and did some stunts. In one of them he nearly came to grief. As he righted his machine he said to his companion; “Now, I bet that fifty per cent, of those people below thought we should bo killed.” “Yes,” said the passenger, “and fifty per ceut. of the folks up here thought *o, too.”
