Plane Crashes in Gale in Irish Sea
ANOTHER MISSING United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Saturday, 2 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 22., Seven lifeboats and 30 trawlers vainly searched the Irish Sea for a Liverpool business aeroplane which crashed in a gale en route to Ireland. The mechanic, Cyril Poole, was brought to Belfast by the steamer Corrib whose rigging the plane struck in trying a descent alongside. The pilot, Captain Eric Stuart, was drowned. Two early morning trans-Chtnnel newspaper planes were In difficulties. One was forced to jettison its freight and return to Lympne. The other is missing.
