Golf Club Function

FAREWELL TO CLUB CAPTAIN Mr. J. O ’Sullivan, who is leaving on transfer to Fatea shortly, was given a very jolly evening recently at Jhc Query Club. Mr. W. Hall-Watson, secretary of the Golf Club, presented Mr. O'Sullivan with a beautiful clock, and expressed the regret ijplt by all the members at his departure. He was supported by several other members of the club who made brief speeches. Mr. O’Sullivan’s health was then toasted in the usual manner. The clock presented is of a novel design. The face is mounted on an ebony base and at one end of the base, a golfer stands addressing the dial which is shaped like a ball. The gathering was a most enjoyable one and games and competitions were played until late in the evening. The date of Mr. O'Sullivan’s departure for Patea is not yet known.
