A broken shin-bone was suffered by a nine-year-old boy, Kobert Browning, sou of Mr and Mrs C. A. J. Browning, 32 Latham street, Napier, as the result of being struck by a log when he \vus bathing in the surf on the Marine Parade on Tuesday afternoon. After being taken from the water by Mrs T. A. Bain, who was with him at the time, the lad was sent to hospital by ambulance, where he will remain for some time yet.
