PRIVATE ENTERPRISE ACQUIRE RIGHTS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 11.5 p.m. MELBOURNE, Jan. 20. Negotiations axe proceeding for the formation of a company to acquire the Australian and New Zealand rights for the Loewe television system now being successfully operated in England and Germany. John and Frank Nevin and E. J. Tait have acquired the patent rights and it is likely J. C. Williamson, Ltd., will be associated. The Director of Post and Telegraphs (Mr. H. P. Brown), commenting on the move, said Government approval would be necessary before private enterprise could embark on television.
