Another Russian Treason Trial

OLD ASSOCIATES OF LENIN. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Thursday, 2 a.m. MOSCOW, Jan. 20. A great State trial of Radek, Sokolnikoff and fifteen other old Bolsheviks, associates of Lenin, opens on Saturday. They are accused of organising wrecking groups and plotting to kill the Soviet leaders at Trotsky’s orders. Special police investigation also claims to have disclosed that accused M’ere engaged in espionage on behalf of foreign Powers with a view to smashing the military power of Russia and dismembering tho territory. Death sentence appears certain.
