ST. JOHN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL
PICNIC AT COLYTON. Something like one hundred and sixty children attended St. John’s Sunday school. picnic which was held on Mr Hocken’s property at Menzies Ford Colyton, on Saturday last. Weather conditions wore splendid, the children being conveyed to the site in private cars kindly lent for the occasion. There was a good gathering of parents and the children spent a happy time at sports, games and swimming. The Rev Canon Petrie was in charge and a ladies’ committee had control of the refreshments. At the conclusion of tho sports Canon Petrie presented tho prizes to the successful competitors. The following are tho details: — Boys (12 years and over) — 100 yards open, J. Williams 1, W.
