NOTES OF THE DAY
Tho newly organised Fehding Municipal Band hold Its lint practice on Monday evening, when there waft an excellent attendance of 24 bandsmen, including nine new players. It is understood that the Band will mxhc Its first public appearance at Easter. Miss Craighead who for several years has been assistant in the Kimbolton Post Office,, has resigned her position, and Miss Gwen Smith has been appointed to fill- the vacancy. The Fcilding street lights which have been off since tho power supply became depleted were switched on again on Monday night until 11 p.m. as soma improvement has been registered at Mangahao. The street lights will bo turned on until 11 o'clock every night until further notice. Mr and Mrs H. S. Cornfoot and family, of Halcombe, left on a motor tour of tho North Island yesterday. ‘Mr and Mrs D. M. Foreman, of Christchurch, are visiting Fcilding and Intend motoring through to Auckland.
