PREPARATIONS POE NEST WEEK’S EVENT. An enthusiastic meeting of the Palmerston North Horticultural Society -was held on Monday evening when final arrangements were made for the Dahlia Show to he held in the Empire hall on Saturday, March 10. The following judges were appointed: Dahlias, Mr. F. Mason (Feilding); cut blooms, Mr. A. Gibson (Marton); decorative, Mrs. Barltrop (Feilding); vegetables, Mr. T, Webb (Palmerston North). It was decided that the chrysanthemum show be held on May 5. The Manawatu Nurserymen’s Asso elation wrote offering a cup for competition at the Rose Show in November and it was decided to allocate the trophy to the class for 6 named roses. Another cup to bo known as the “ Farmers’ ” cup was promised for Bulb Show.
