EFFORTS DEEMED SUICIDAL. LONDON, Feb. 17. The Under-Secretary for Air, Sir | Phillip Sassoon, in a speech at Oxford revealed that in the early days of flying ,a warrant was issued for the arrest of the air pioneer, A. V. Roe, ,on a charge of attempting suicide owing to his persistent efforts to fly. i The successful flight across the English Channel by the Prechman, M. Blerlot, however, quashed the proceedings.
