ANNUAL PICNIC. The Hokowhitu school was unfortunate in selecting yesterday for .the annual pienio. As a result of the wet intentions to visit the Ashhurst domain had to be abandoned and the function confined to the school buildings and grounds. The pupils soon forgot there initial disappointment however when the committee which had arrangements in hand came to light with cordials, ice-creams, lollies and fruit in abundance.
