OLLIVIER RETIRES HURT (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night Canterbury to-day regained the Wilding Shield from Wellington, win* rung in the aeries 7 matches to .5. ..On tho first day Canterbury led by 5 matches to one. Heavy .rain overnight made tho courts sodden to-day play was only determined upon a vote of the players. Ollivier did not try at all against Malfroy, who was playing well. Seay and France played brilliant tennis under tho bad conditions. After losing tho first set against Walker, McGill , led Walker s—l in tho second set and had four sot points—throe of Ithem in one game—but he could not do the necessary. , Wilson being the more forceful and accurate. Angas and Walker overwhelmed Wilson and McGill in the doubles and Ollivier and .Seay retired against Prance and Malfroy, it being stated that Ollivier had ricked his back. Detailed results are as follows, Canterbury players mentioned first:— Singles: G. Ollivier lost to C., E. Malfroy d—6, I. A. Seay lost to D. G. Franco 4—6, 4—6; C. A. Angas lost to W. R. C.
