To-night will be screened “ The Pleasures of the Kich,” a comcaydraina with Helene Chadwick as Mary Wilson. Mary, as the daughter of a nouveaux riche ” chain grocery store proprietor, gives the best performance of her career. There is not a dull moment in the picture which tells of the love affair of the daughter of a millionaire proprietor of humble birth who falls in love with the son of a woman who is a social leader. On Saturday there is to be an ice cream matinoo at 2.30. In the evening the Maori Troubadors are to perform with singing, banjo solos, ukuleles and choruses, and a delightful time may be expected. jTest Wednesday will be a super programme— the screening of Camille.
