Permanent way, sleepers, and rolling stock — Woodville - Napier, £11,058; Wellington * Woodville, £11,181 ; Foxton^New Plymouth, £12,824. Roads— Seventy Bush, £4000; Manawatu Gorge, £600; sundry roads and bridges, £800. There are also votes simply to cover liabilities of £1000 for bridge over Wangaehu, £279 for inland r6ad, tfoxton to Otaki. and £268 for grant m aid towards bridge over Manawatu River. Roads to open up lands for sale— Tokomaru Block, £600 ; Karewarewa Block, £600; Paratieke, £800; Rangitumau, £1000; Kaiwhata, £1500, Purchase of native lands— £67,ooo. Courthouses — Masterton, £826 ; Garterton, £171.; Gaols— Mount Cook— £7ooo. Post Offices— Greytown; £8 ; Wellington, £1872, and fittings, £1100. Surveys — Lithographio, piinting office, machinery, and; safes — £3300. Lunatic A sylums — Porirua>.road, £1500. Harbors— Jetty, Oastlepbint, £1800.
