Along the hack of the course Yately. was going with great vigour and assumed the lead, Rapid resigning the second place m favor of Helene, and Battalion, and Martini had by this time fallen further m the rear. Passing the sod, wall, Rapid I ' made a second effort and joined Yatsly and Helene the pace beins terrifict Attthe turn Frying Pan, and Coulstoun, made resolute effort to get up but failed, and Lord Wilton and Blink Bonny assumed a forward position. Turning into the straight Yately was done with, and Blink Bonny ran through and took the lead. Kapid made another desperate effort to get up, but retired at the distance, and Lord Wilton, Hastings, and Vergy challenged Blink Botufy, jjho, however, held the lead, and; C aY m an easy winner by two lenarfcbt.
