Agent* General m London has telegraphed to Mr Service, Premier, stating ibai it is rumored that England and Germany nave concluded a convention respecting the Pacific Islands. Mr Smith advises that colonists should make a united protest against any convention until thtir consent is given. Mr Service is, it is uuderstood, communicating with the otner colonies as to the course to pursue.
