THE WEST COAST MURDER.
HOKITIKA, Last Night. Mr. Justice Richmond opened the sittings 6f the Supreme Court here yesterday. There was only one case on the calendar, being the charge of murder of one John Bell against David Charles McGahey. His Honor congratulated the Grand Jury on the lightness of the calendar, which spoke a good deal for tbe settled, sober, and industrious nature of the population. Seven witnesses were examined to-day, and the case will probably be concluded to-morrow night. Mr. South prosecuted, and Mr. Guinness defended McGahey.
