PAINFUL ACCIDENT.

A sad accident occu red on the tram to-day to a lad named William Power, about nine years of age, the son of Mr. William Power, a tailor. He

was riding on the tram, and it is supposed that while attempting to alight he slipped, and fell under the wheel. The poor little fellow was immediately removed to the Hospital; where it was found necessary to amputate the left arm and the ffingers on the right hand. He had his right leg broken above the ankle, besides other serious injuries to his head. He now lies in a critical condition.
