A STTEPBISIN& Escape. — A remarkable freak of lightening is recorded m a French newspaper. A farm laborer, running for shelter, was suddenly thrown to the ground, the fork ne carried 6V his shoulder being wrenched from his grasp and carried through the air to a distance of fifty or sixty yards. The prongs were bent and twisted wi,th well-nigh' mathematical accuracy, into the shape of corkscrews, the steel being bisrnt, and formed on its exterior surface, into small latniiieß which emitted a slightly sul phurous odour. The laborer escaped with out injury.
