Considerable amusement was occasioned a few evenings ago by a magnificent specimen of the Celtic newchum — with the orthodox swallow-tailed frieze and corduroy shorts— who bestowed his patronage upon the Clareqdon Hotel to the extent of. a crapper of whiskey. While sipping his native nectar, the illustrious stranger was not only the cynosure of all eyes, but he himself seemed nothing loath to open up communication with the company.
