PALMERSTON BOROUGH. COUNCIL.
Thursday, Junjs 3, 1880. Present — Councillors Jenssen (chair), Ferguson, King, Metard, and Duugan. After the minutes had been read and confirmed, the Chairman reud the following correspondence : — RESIGNATION. A letter was received fi'orn Councillor Amesbury, tendering his resignation of his seat m the Council. The reason given for tlie step was tho distance at which he resided from town, and the consequent inconvenience m attending meetings oE the Council. Upon the motion of Councillor Ferguson, seconded by Couucillor King, the resignation was received with regret.
