A SHOCKING TRAGEDY.
Guahaiistown', Friday Evening. A most appa line; tragedy occurred near here yesterday. Uatere-a-Piako, a Native, who was jealous of his half-caste wife, knocked her brains out with a tetit pole and afterwards hung himself. Some weeks ago she fled from him and swam the Thames River, since which time her husband had consulted a Maori Prophet, about Ins wife's infidelity The revelntions were anything but satisfactory, and so he killed her.
