MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL. A SPECIAL MEETING will he held on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 1880, at two p.m., for the purpose of adopting the resolution of April 18, 1877, passed at a special meeting of that date, with reference to Hawkers' License. MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL TT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOL TIFIED that the period for the REGISTRATION of DOGS has commenced (January, 1880.) and any dog or dogs in the possession of any person or persons unregistered, if of the age of six months, in one month from date thereof, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding £5 for every dog so owned maintained, or being in his charge. And all dogs, registered or unregistered wheresoever found molesting or worrying cattle, sheep, pigs, or other live stock, whether *uch dogs at the time at which they may be so found shall bo or shall not be in charge of any person, may be destroyed.
