As its name denotes fi\e new applicant for patronage is a messenger of fun and frolic, evoking smiles of j commendation upon pe. rusal, and wiling -away a pleasant hour with its witticisms. In enunciating their programme the editorial co-partnership — who, by th,e way, dub.ba;! by the antithetical appellation of Saint and Sinner— state :— " man and his follies will be our subject for amusement ; his politics, his social absurdities ; his mental delusions, his moral weaknesses, his endeavors to attain perfection, and the foolish, attempts to uci-ive at definite ideas on indefinite subjects." "Sunshine is apparently designed to shed ifc3 rays upon all, without any politicial biasi and, consequently it may escape the fate of it* predecessors m the satirical line, which dilated upon the" foibles and ridiculed the aitions of but one class. * Our new contemporary is as yet small m stature, but we $rus.t that basking m the sunshine of popular favor, it may increase m size, strength and the sinews of war.
