SUDDEN DEATH.

An awfully sudden death occurred at the National H^tel this morning. .A man named Robert -Sales rejtire,d to. bed at nine o'clock last night, and at six o'clock this morning asked for sprae brandy, which was given to him. Two hours later he was found dead in his bed. He was a recent arrival f rom Kaikoura, and a stranger but is believed to have, a wife, in Dunedin.
