FATAL ACCIDENT.
A fatal accident ocourad this afternoon The steamer Stbrmbird left for Foxton at three o'clock, and when. half, way down the barber, the Chief Ot^cer. and a seaman, named Patrick Long, who were " fishing **'. the anchor, fell; overboard. A boat wa^ lowered immediately, and; the. mate wai. rescued but tbe seaman was drowned, apd the body has hot y«t been recovered. '
