Proposed by Councillor Halcombe, seconded by Councillor Kebbell :— "That Mr. Swainson be informed that the rate levied oh him for Section 112, Sandon, will not be demanded." Proposed by Councillor Kebbell, and seconded by Councillor Halcombe:-— " That Parliament be requested to legislate so as to enable County Councils to increase: tho registration fee payable . under the Dog Nuisance Act. The present fee of ss. being insufficient to abate •the nuisance, and that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the member for Manawatu asking his co-operation." » Proposed By Councillor Rockstrow» and seconded by Councillor Linton :•; — "That a notice be published m the County papers to the affect that all dogs found without a collar and badge attached to it will be destroyed forthwith." Proposed by Councillor Halcombe, and seconded by Councillor Kebbell: — "That from this date the fee paid to collectors of the dog tax shall' be 2s. 6d. for each dog 'registered, and 2s. 6d for each dog destroyed until further noticp." : Proposed by Councillor Halcombe, and seconded by Councillor Linton:—"That the Engineer .be authorised to" call for tenders for an additional groin m the Oroua River near the Awahuri Bridge." Proposed, by Councillor Kebbell, seconded by Councillor Rpckstrow :— " That the Chairman do again forward to the- Government the resolution, re Inland Road from Foxton to Waikanae, passed by this Council on the 12th May, .1879, and that a copy of the resolutionbe sent toJ;he member for the Manawatu asking his co-operation."
