TO THB EDITOR. .. Si*, — Could you inform me if the Manawatu County roads extend to the Fitzherfcon side of tho Manawatu River, as the only time we hear of the County Council is when its rate collector comes to collect bhe rales. I would ask if it, is right -or just to collect money from that side of the .-iver— when there is no road whatever one mile from the other side of the bridge— jo *pend it m other parts of the County where they have got p%ty. In reading your reports of the meetings of the County Council, I notice that there is never any mention made of the Fitzherbert side, and consequently am m ignorance as to. whether r the settlers have a representative in' that body,, or not. — I am, &c.,Y > '•■,-.
