Sib,— l see by the paper that Mr. Halcombe has taken credit to himself for being a great- benefactor to us Scandinavians. Now my motto is " give honor where it is justly due," and consequently if we owe any grati:. tude at all it is to Mr. Snelson, and not Mr. Halcombe. It is quite true that the latter genfclbinanvwas the means of sending us ; to Manawatu.
