FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 1879. A CAPITAL INVESTMENT. SALE OF A VALUABLE HOTEL AT HALCOMBE. JMAYSMOR lias received instruc- • tions from Mr. Alexander Bell to sell (under mortgage and bill of sale) by Public Auction on FRIDAY,, the 28th instant, on the premises, Halcombe Hotel, unless previously disposed of by private contract, All that valuable property known as the Halcombe Hotel, together with the furni- ! ture and stock-in-trade. The house contains m all twentysix (26) rooms and laundry, a good bricked cellar ; six-stalled stable with hay-loft, store-room, poultry-yard, pigstyes, and good garden with three quarters of an acre of land m the best position m Halcombe. The above Hotel is the only one m the town, and is doing a large and profitable trade. The house — not yet three years old — is substantially built of heart of totara and roofed with iron. The furniture is nearly new and of splendid quality, and no expense has been spared m making it one of the best equipped hotels on this coast. The auctioneer can with confidence recommend this as a good investment, it being m the centre of a rich timber country, daily increasing m importance and wealth.
