Tlie low rates ruling m the Australian Colonies, coupled with the great inducement offered there for shipping, is harine the market. Wheat charters have been taking up to load at a Port m South Australia fnr the United Kingdom at 2.">s. per ton. The samples offered for sale arc not, as a rule, well Pilled. . Fiwt-olass milling wheat is free of sale at 3s. 3d ; inferior to medium. 2s. lOd. to 3s. Oats. — The supply is m excess of the local requirements. Last -week's quotations «re hardly maintained, with the exception of really first-class inUling samples, which are by no mean* plentiful. The feeling ii that lower prices will hare to be accepted before much business can be dona. First-r-iite milling cannot be qutood at orer 3s. while feed qualities will only command 2s. 7d. to 2s. 9d. per bushel.
