It is very level ; is very well watered by several permanent creeks and by the Oroiia River, yet no part of it is flooded, nor has it an acre of swamp. It Lies within 2.j miles of Feilding, and within two miles of the railway. It is connected—by a good metalled road running right through it— with ■ the town of Feilding and the new tou'ti of "Ashhurst," on the Manawatu Gorge.
