WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office until NOON on MONDAY, the 17th day of FEBRUARY, 1879, for the Supply and Delivery of 25,000 Sleepers, to be delivered at any railway station between Auckland and Ohauno, or at any railway station between Foxton and Wanganui, or at the Featherston Station, on the Wellington-Woodville Railway. They must be addressed** to the Hon. the Minister for PubKri Works, Wellington, and marked outside '• Tender for Sleepers* New Zealand Railways." Specifications may He seen at the Public Works Office,. Auckland, Waaganui, Wellington, Featherston, Christchurch, Dunedin and Inverqargill* and at the Railway Manager's Office, Pictoa. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received at any Telegraphic office by Noon of the same date, provided that written tenders m due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's 1 office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque on some Bank m the town whare the tender is lodged ; such cheque to be specially marked by. a-Banker as good for the month, and to be iv favor of the Receiver - General's.
